In ectopic pregnancy the word "Ecto" - outside location/Place which means here site of implantation. 

When an embryo( early phase of baby) which naturally grows in uterus during normal pregnancy instead starts growing at different place i.e. in a fallopian tube. This isn’t where the baby is supposed to grow, so it can cause problems. The tube can stretch and possibly burst, which can lead to abdominal pain and bleeding, dizziness, shock. 

Some of the abnormal sited pregnancies goes on without displaying signs and symptoms which could be more fatal and now a days leading to maternal morbidity and can cause mortality also. 

And causes economical burden also. 

There are many risk factor associated risks but this type of pregnacy can occur at any to anyone. 

To prevent all these complications we all need to:

1. As soon as you overdue (missed periods) need to visit obstetrician. 

2. Antenatal checkups. 

3. Follow advice and do tests and investigations during pregnancy to rule out any complicated pregnancy. 

4. Don't do self medication. 

5. Urinary pregnancy test kit can be false negative also. Consult your gynae. 

Normal Pregnancy is where women nurtures a fetus inside womb, where mother undergoes several changes to support pregnancy and prepare for childbirth so
